With inclement weather in the forecast, we would like to remind the campus community of the Weather-Related Closure, Delay and Cancellation Procedure, as well as the campus emergency notification procedure:
Campus closing/delay:
- Closure: If the college is closed due to inclement weather, campus will be closed (with the exception of the Ice Center). Classes will be cancelled and offices will be closed for the day.
- Delay: If the college delays opening, there will be a delayed schedule communicated to the campus that morning.

Closing or cancellation notifications will be issued through:
- Rave Emergency Alert System (please be sure your information is up-to-date)
- The SUNY Broome website
- SUNY Broome Facebook page
- The login screen for the MyCollege web portal
- An outgoing message placed on the College’s main switchboard (+1 (607) 778-5000)
- Local radio and television stations
- Please Note: Students and college employees should not assume that announcements concerning public school systems apply to SUNY Broome.
If the college is not closed or delayed: the regular, normal schedule will be carried out for the day. Students and employees who have concerns about the safety of traveling should contact their instructors or direct supervisors about their individual situations.
