SUNY Broome

Hello, and welcome to Season 2, Episode 3 of your favorite weekly summary of the goings-on in the Admissions Office, Recruitment Roundup.

It’s been a very full week for our Admissions crew! Here’s some of what we’ve been up to:

In the span of the last two days, we’ve booked five new group visits to campus, bringing us to a grand total of eighteen group visits currently in progress. We’ve got room for about ten more this semester and at this rate we are planning to be fully booked. Wow!

On Thursday, the Admissions team worked with Mike Stamets from the Culinary Arts program to host our biggest group visit yet with students from the Culinary Arts program at TST BOCES, with a total of about 110 students! Our visitors toured both the main SUNY Broome campus and the Culinary and Event Center downtown and were treated to a build-your-own mac and cheese bar for lunch. We’re looking forward to collaborating more with the culinary program at TST BOCES in the future!

Also on Thursday, Anya Samiljan and Brittney Richardson facilitated the Binghamton College Express at Binghamton High School. Our largest College Express yet, this event offered instant SUNY Broome acceptance to nearly 350 local high school seniors! A huge thank you to the representatives across campus who came to speak to the group, and to the Marcom team for taking video and photos. Keep your eyes peeled for an in-depth article on the Binghamton College Express event coming soon.

Would you like to speak to Admissions regarding your program or department? We would love to connect with you! Each Wednesday, we are hosting “Information Wednesdays” in the Wales Office, where campus partners are invited to speak with the department so that we can learn more about your program, any upcoming events, highlights, and partnership opportunities.

If you are interested, you can sign up online at SUNY Broome Information Wednesdays.
