Congratulations!

Congratulations to Professor Diana LaBelle, who was recently accepted into the Post-Secondary Leadership Program offered through the Association for Career and Technical Education.

Selection is a highly competitive process for the program. The initiative is intended to bring together diverse perspectives and equip postsecondary career and technical education (CTE) leaders with the tools, resources and skills needed to advance the field.

Along with leadership development, Professor LaBelle will conduct a capstone project intended to have positive impact on student learning in CTE programs.

Professor LaBelle co-chairs the Engineering Technologies Department. A SUNY Broome alumna who went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a master’s degree in robotics from Carnegie Mellon, LaBelle’s career path includes stints as an aircraft mechanic in the Marine Corps and a systems engineer for BAE Systems before returning to the classroom to teach full-time.
