Tweety Bird with Vermeer and Pepé Le Pew with Lemons and Carnations will be exhibited at the historical Philadelphia Sketch Club as part of the 160th Small Oils Exhibition on view from 9/1 to 9/27, 2024.
Many of Groat’s paintings are about the meditative process and pleasure of perception, and explore diverse themes, including beauty, tradition, popular culture, nature and urban environments.
His work is included in private and public collections internationally, including AT&T, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Cleveland Clinic, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones, IHeart Media, House and Garden, LTD., Sheraton Hotel Corporation, Binghamton University, Everson Museum of Art, Munson-Williams Proctor Institute of Art, The State University of New York system, Roberson Museum and Science Center and Washington Jefferson College.
