New Energy New York is offering students a paid XCEED Startup Experience opportunity, which combines innovation, entrepreneurship, and R&D in clean energy and sustainability.
This experience will allow you to work directly with a start-up company in the clean energy space. You will have the opportunity to learn firsthand about start-up company formation and growth, business model development, marketing, and clean energy R&D.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will vary by start-up company and your background, but may include
- Performing basic market research
- Participating in R&D activities
- Preparing materials for marketing
- Participating in company and product marketing efforts
- Assisting in presentation and pitch preparation
Qualifications
- Interest in entrepreneurship and business development
- STEM background OR marketing and business development major/skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on a team
- Strong analytical skills
Compensation/Stipend: $2500 for 12 weeks, with no more than 10 hrs/week of program participation. Time commitment and corresponding stipend may be adjusted based on company and student availability.
