The Time Capsule Ceremony has a new date! Thursday, June 22!
On Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 10:00 am, the SUNY Broome community will prepare to launch a capsule into the future! Or, more technically, prepare a container of essential present-day and historical items for burial in a time capsule to be opened in 50 years.
Alumni, students, and the campus community have put their heads together and scoured their possessions to create a hoard of fascinating “treasure” for future Hornet “archeologists.”
There’s still time to submit a Letter to the Future! Letters should be:
- Approx. 500 words
- Describe your life at SUNY Broome or predictions for your field
- Written to the students or employees opening the time capsule in 50 years.
- Written on your personal or department letterhead and mailed to MS #4, or emailed to foundation@sunybroome.edu by June 12.
Join us at the “burial site” near the Darwin R. Wales Center as we celebrate the College’s past and look forward to the future!
