MSCHE Middle States Commission on Higher Education

Dear Colleagues:

We are excited to share with you the finalized Middle States Self-Study. Suggestions and feedback from the campus community have been incorporated into this final document. We thank you for your feedback and the extensive amount of work that the Work Groups, Steering Committee, and campus community engaged in as our college prepared the Self-Study. It has truly been a shared campus effort.

The Self-Study is a testament to the hard work of our campus community and our commitment to providing a quality education and outstanding student support services for our students. We believe that within this document SUNY Broome has shown that it meets each of the Middle States 7 standards and 15 Requirements of Affiliation. We hope you are as proud of our college as we are.

The site visit will be held March 29-31, 2021 in a virtual format. Once we receive a schedule for the visit, we will share that with the campus. As we prepare for the Team’s visit, please review the Self-Study to familiarize yourself with its contents. It will also be helpful to review the work you have done within your courses, programs, and departments to be able to discuss student learning and success, and how you have utilized assessments to continuously improve student learning through modifications to courses, programs or student support.

For more information about accreditation and the self-study process, please visit the Middle States Accreditation webpage on our college website.
