SUNY Broome men's cross country team competed in the SUNY Poly Wildcat Invitational

The men’s cross country team competed in the SUNY Poly Wildcat Invitational on Saturday.

All three of the team’s participating runners for the given meet finished within the top 60 of the field. Joseph Chermak, Jacob Zajdel, and Lucas McPeak ran in the meet, with Chermak leading the way with a top-30 placement.

Chermak came in at 29th place with a time of 32:18.5. Zajdel was next for the Hornets, registering a time of 39:56.7 and a place of 58th. McPeak was right behind, finishing just two places later at 60th with a time 40:40.5.

All three Hornets ran season-best times for the 8k (5 miles) distance on Saturday. View the full results from the meet.

The team will be looking strong and building off the season-best performances when it travels to the Bronco Classic at SUNY Delhi on Wednesday, October 9.
