SUNY Broome Men's Basketball in action
Broome split two games last week, the first a 97-52 road loss to the NJCAA’s third ranked team, Onondaga CC on Wednesday, and over the weekend Broome defeated Cayuga CC at home, 75-64.

At Onondaga, the Hornets were unable to find the offensive touch as nobody scored in double figures. Andrew Charles scored 9, with 8 rebounds and K-Cie Salmon scored 9 as well. Seth Roselle, Jr added 4 assists and 3 steals to his 8 points and Jalin Pitts grabbed 12 rebounds to go along with 6 points.

Against Cayuga on Saturday, Broome found themselves down by ten at halftime, but fought their way back in the second half with strong defense, holding the Spartans to only 21 points in the second 20 minutes. Offensively, the Hornets made a season high 13 threes. Frank Richards led the way with 19 points on 4-7 shooting from the arc and added 6 assists. Roselle, Jr had 6 assists as well to go with his 12 points on 3-4 shooting from 3-point line. Salmon scored 12 points on four 3-balls and Matthew Paige had 10 points, all in the second half. Pitts contributed 10 boards to go with 9 points and 3 blocks, and Charles had 9 points with 8 boards.

Broome travels on Monday to play MSAC opponent Finger Lakes CC in Canandaigua, scheduled for a 7:30 pm start.
