Both the men and women brought home the MSAC Cross Country Championship title on Saturday

Both the men and women brought home the MSAC Cross Country Championship title on Saturday after competing in the 5K race hosted by Tompkins Cortland CC in Dryden.

The men dominated the race finishing with eight runners in the top ten, including the top four finishers. Broome was paced by Lucas Baker (17:58.5), Conner Smith (18:04.8), Jakob Getchell (18:10.9) and Eric Repp (18:15.4).

On the women’s side of the 5K Claudia Chermak (23:36.3) paced the Broome runners followed by Kalia Brizzolara (26:11.9), Emily Zeboris (29:02.4), Haley Hagerman (33:01.4) and Yueqi Diao (39:05.2).

The Hornets will head into the Region III Championships this Saturday hosted by Finger Lakes CC. The men currently hold the top spot in the Region III Cross Country Poll while the women hold the fourth spot.
