Please join us for a day-long hands-on workshops that our SUNY COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) Director, Hope Windle, and Kathleen McKenna have planned for Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
Because Hope lives in Ulster and because they are predicting a “wintry mix” for Wednesday, which is not conducive to travel, we decided to offer the workshops on Zoom only, rather than in hybrid format. See below for more details.
Of course, we hope you will be able to attend both the morning and afternoon workshops, but will welcome you to as much or as little as you can attend.
The morning will focus on intercultural education in general, and the afternoon will focus on COIL specifically. These hands-on workshops will invite faculty members, success coaches, and career specialists to think about how intercultural education can prepare students to live and work in the 21st century.
SUNY continues to expand its international connections, as does SUNY Broome–Katherine Bacon’s class collaborated with Ukraine in the Fall, and Judi Dzuba (and possibly others) will collaborate with the Philippines in the Spring. Our connection with Celaya, Mexico, also remains strong after nearly 13 years.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Kathleen McKenna with any questions you might have.Β mckennakm@sunybroome.edu
