It’s Not Too Late to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

As we come to the final few days of Hispanic Heritage Month, we encourage you to conclude this month of celebration by taking some time to truly enjoy some of the fantastic Hispanic/Latinx cultural activities that are being offered on and off campus. Try cooking some of your favorite dishes like huevos rancheros, lomo saltado, and flan or studying to a playlist of the greatest hits of Selena and Celia Cruz.

Do you like to dance? You can learn how to Salsa on the Quad on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Looking for some extra reading? If so, SUNY Broome’s Library foyer has a great exhibit showcasing some featured books written by Hispanic and Latinx authors. In addition to the Library’s exhibit, you can find more information and loads of digital materials related to Hispanic/Latinx culture and history, by visiting the Library of Congress: Hispanic Heritage Month. This website is a collaborative project brought to you by the Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
