
International education at SUNY Broome: A brief and personal history of the early years (1978-2007), a new book by Richard M. Romano, Director, Institute for Community College Research and SUNY Broome Community College Professor Emeritus of Economics, has been added to the library’s collection.
The title was edited and compiled by Romano with chapters by Alan Bennett, Alberto Miller, Anne Blakeslee and former President Donald Dellow.
It includes seven chapters and supporting documents, telling the remarkable story of the rise and extent of international programs at Broome during the 1980s and 1990s, along with a brief description of ESL and student recruitment, community outreach, the Georgetown connection, Study abroad, professional development/technical assistance, curriculum development and the President’s role.
A hard copy available in the library and the digital version is online in SUNY Broome’s collection in the SUNY Open Access Repository.
