Purple candle“An Evening of Hope and Resilience,” a free resource night for mental wellness and suicide awareness, will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 83 Main St., Binghamton.

The goal of the evening, featuring a panel of experts, is to promote wellness and resiliency, as well as to provide education on how to support anyone who may be struggling with the challenges associated with mental illness or thoughts of suicide.

Refreshments will be served, and childcare will be available if requested.

The program, which will also include information about mental wellness resources in the community, is intended for ages 18 and up.
