The Hornet Hope Center Challenge

With the holiday season around the corner, the Civic Engagement Committee is excited to announce the Hornet Hope Center Food Drive Challenge starting Monday, November 4, 2024!
How to get involved:
- Create a team! It can be a department, office, or a group of colleagues!
- Designate a contact person for your team (Team Captain).
- Submit the Hornet Hope Center Challenge Sign Up form.
- Challenge your team to contribute generously to our campus food pantry.
Food Drive Schedule:
Team Sign Up Week: October 28 – November 1
Week 1: November 4 – November 8
Week 2: November 11 – November 15
Week 3: November 18 – November 22
A list of popular food pantry items can be viewed on the Hornet Hope Center webpage and is linked below. Other food items are gladly accepted. No expired food, please!
Monetary donations are also welcome! Donate through the SUNY Broome Foundation by selecting Hornet Hope Center and adding your team name in the indicated box.
Competition Categories:
- Highest number of pounds donated for the week
- Most cash collected for the week
- Greatest number of meals donated by a team (Ex. Pasta, sauce, dessert)
- Best meal idea from your team’s donations
The Team Captains will be the main point of contact. More information will be sent directly to them.
