Visit SUNY Broome’s Speakers of the House Toastmasters Club! They meet at 3 p.m. Fridays in BB-110, except for the Fridays before long weekends. Below, Toastmasters answers some frequently asked questions.

 What is Toastmasters?

Do you want to practice public speaking, improve your communication and build leadership skills? With Toastmasters, you can break barriers and not your budget. We work on improving our public speaking skills in a fun and supportive atmosphere, to help maximize your potential!

Visit a Club

The club is at the heart of your journey. It’s the place you and other members meet to practice, learn, grow, mentor and share. It is important to find one that is right for you, and it’s okay to visit a few before joining one. With more than 357,000 members in 16,600 clubs in 143 countries to choose from, you’re sure to find one nearby!

 Become a Member

Once you find your club, joining is easy. As a member, you become part of a larger international organization that supports you every step of the way.  Students can apply with us to have their membership fees covered by the college. Students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to visit and join.

 Choose Your Learning Path

The Pathways learning experience is Toastmasters’ education program. There are 11 specialized learning paths to choose from and an opportunity to leverage more than 300 unique competencies. Find the path that’s right for you and start building real-world, transferable skills today!
