The Endicott Rotary Club visited the Radiologic Technology Department for a luncheon on Thursday August 8.
The club’s members were able to hear about the history of the program, the curriculum and the clinical components of the program. Members were able to ask questions and have discussions about the field of Radiology as well as modalities such as MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, and Sonography.
The members were impressed with the Program’s most recent accreditation award as well as the positive job outlook in the field currently. Members were able to tour the Radiology Lab, equipped with three energized Digital Radiography x-ray machines, as well as an unenergized portable x-ray and C-arm unit. The tour also consisted of the program’s Anatomage Table, which is a 3D Anatomy and Virtual Dissection platform helping students to better understand anatomy and pathology of real-life digitized cadavers.
