A familiar SUNY Broome face was inducted into the The NYS High School Softball Hall of Fame Class of 2022. In a ceremony held on June 18, 2022 at the Mudville Softball complex in Herkimer, NY, Dave Ligeikis, SUNY Broome Director of Campus Operations, was elected into the Hall of Fame for his many years, contributions, and record-setting seasons as Head Coach of the Seton Catholic High School softball team.
Dave, alongside fellow coaches/contributors and former players, was elected to the Hall of Fame by the New York State Sportswriters and Coaches Organization for Girls Sports.
The New York State High School Softball Hall of Fame was established in 2012 by the NYSSCOGS with the idea of recognizing the very best former players, coaches and contributors that have impacted the game of high school softball in New York State.
