Joseph Chermak ran a time of 30:09.7 and finished 51st overall out of a field of 125 on Saturday.
Saturday was a highly successful day for Chermak, as his time of 30:09.7 was his second best time of this year and of his NJCAA career.
Only a Freshman, Chermak’s performance is notable in that he finished just outside the top-50 of the race and just outside the top 1/3 of runners in his race in his first attempt at the National Championships meet.
Chermak delivered his season best and personal best time at the Region III Championships meet two weekends ago, so it was a phenomenal end to Chermak’s season to log his two best times of the year in his final two races. Congratulations Joseph!
