In her role in the Accessibility Resources Office and as part of the Learning Assistance Department, Frances may be the first person a new student meets, and if so, that student has made contact with a deep well of institutional knowledge, human kindness, and ready wisdom.
Frances’ deep understanding of “the system that surrounds our students” allows her to teach the students “to understand that system and [then to] guide them through the challenges posed by [it].” The nominator continues: “Her understanding of the College and the way she encourages students to expand their understanding of their student role absolutely contributes to the betterment of SUNY Broome.”
