We are pleased to announce that Gina Chase has been promoted to Assistant Dean. As Assistant Dean for Academic Services, Gina will continue to oversee Advising and Career, Transfer and Bachelor Partnerships. She will continue to implement the new advising model. In addition, in an effort to build on our retention efforts and focus on a collaborative approach to student support, Gina will be responsible for the LAD/ARO. This will provide students with a support team that includes holistic advising, academic coaching, tutoring and accessibility support.
Retention will continue be a major focus for our college as we face declines in high school graduates and the overall local population. More importantly, retention supports our mission as a community college and our vision of “Learning today, transforming tomorrow”. Gina’s experience and leadership, particularly as related to retention and student success will help grow our efforts in these areas.
