Call for nominations for the Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching for 2021-2022
Our diverse adjunct faculty are an important component of the educational experience of our students at the graduate, undergraduate or professional levels, and vital members of the SUNY community. This Chancellor’s Award for Excellence is a recognition of, and a tribute to, the expertise, commitment, and dedication of SUNY’s adjunct faculty who rise to serve as exemplars for their peers.

Eligibility Criteria Specific to the Award:
Nominees must be Adjunct faculty as generally defined by the specific SUNY institution. Individuals serving in full-time professional or academic position at a SUNY institution are not eligible for this award
Nominees must have taught, over the preceding five years, a total of courses equivalent to one-half of a three-year full-time teaching load in the appropriate department
Nominees may also serve in adjunct roles at other educational institutions
Nominees must be employed by the nominating campus at the time of the nomination.

A nomination letter can be brief, for example:
“I nominate *Full Name* for the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching. He/She is deserving of this award because (insert one or more observations or experiences that led you to nominate). I recommend that *Full Name* be considered a worthy candidate for this honor. [Signature]”
