This BROOME focuses on four graduates of the Chemical Dependency Counseling program, the life-changing support they offer, and the need for Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors in the community. This program offers opportunities for meaningful employment and currently, there are scholarships available to eligible students.
Additionally, check out the profiles of two great mentors of students! Brenda Dawe, Associate Professor, Chairperson of Music and Theater Arts, and Coordinator of Music, once believed that her path lay solely in vocal performances but has found new joys in guiding music students along their education or career journeys. Meanwhile, despite vision challenges, Michael Buffone (ISAS ’88; RN ’92) returned to campus, channeling his decades of experience to encourage nursing students as a tutor.
Also, inside the new BROOME alumni magazine are athletics updates, campus news, and a feature on the prestigious inauguration ceremony.
