Join the Women’s Discussion Group and Become an Officer!

When and Where We Meet:
Join us every two weeks, Tuesdays at 10:00 am in T-203, beginning on Tuesday September 7.

What do we do?
We have book discussions using books purchased with our club funding. We go to film screenings and discuss recent films.
We co-sponsor the Women’s Prison Book Project, an award-winning service project, which can be added to your resume, transfer application and scholarship essay.

Our recent officers have won the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence, SUNY Broome Foundation Scholarships, were appointed Graduation Marshals and were presented a Service Award for the Women’s Prison Book Project.

We run Common Hour panel discussions, such as the following scheduled for Fall 2021:

How to Establish Boundaries with People and Keep Your Stress Levels Down!

Ever find it stressful when people are disrespectful to you or your property? Ever wish you had some techniques for establishing boundaries with family, co-workers or romantic partners? Join members of the Women’s Discussion Group for tips to help keep you in control while managing the challenging people in your life.

Get Fit for Your Big Career!

Join student leaders from the Women’s Discussion Group for great tips on better ways to eat and exercise as a busy college student. Learn ways to de-stress that don’t involve food and build habits that may help you get hired and promoted.
