The men’s basketball team struggled against the Jefferson CC zone Wednesday night in the Baldwin Gymnasium, falling to the Cannoneers 67-57. Broome went into halftime down by 4 points, 33-29, but their struggles continued in the second half allowing Jefferson to pull away for the win.
Jean Senatus went 7-10 from the field scoring 15 points and added 9 rebounds before fouling out of the contest. Andrew Charles also contributed 15 points and 8 rebounds. Freshman shooting guard Jacob Santana was a bright spot for Hornets on the offensive end, hitting 4 out of his 5 attempts from the arc scoring 12 points on 80% shooting from the field.
The Hornets travel to Clinton CC on Saturday before heading to North Country CC on Sunday for two Region III games.
