The Hornets trailed the Spartans by 10 at halftime, 43-33, before locking down on the defensive side of the ball and holding the visitors to 25 points in the second half to overcome the 10 point deficit. On the offensive side of the ball Broome continued to shoot the ball at a high level, shooting 46% from the field.

He knocked down 5 three pointers, including two in a row to extend Broome’s lead to 67-59 with 7:12 left on the clock. Andrews led all scorers with 23 points and freshman forward Jean Senatus remained consistent with 18 points and 12 rebounds, proving too much to handle down low for Cayuga.
