SUNY Broome Associate Professor of Visual Communications Patricia Evans presented “A Beginner’s Design Lesson: Thinking in Opposites” to art and design faculty from across the country at the University of Central Florida’s School of Visual Arts and Design in Orlando, Florida. The Southeast Regional FATE Conference was held on Sept. 14 and 15 at the UCF Art Gallery.

The focus of the symposium was to share “new and developing pedagogical approaches, curriculum and projects.”

Closing remarks were made by artist/educator Mary Stewart, the author of “Launching the Imagination,” one of the best-selling design foundation textbooks in North America.
