A foggy fall morning in Binghamton did not deter more than 450 prospective students and their families from flocking to campus to attend the annual Fall Open House on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024.
This year’s Fall Open House featured a pilot of an earlier event date and a new tabling location. More than 75 faculty and staff members were present to meet one-on-one with attendees to highlight their respective programs and answer questions.
Several informational sessions were offered throughout the event on topics including the Financial Aid Process, the ins and outs of Competitive Admissions, the Educational Opportunity Program, and how to participate in collegiate athletics.
Between meeting with faculty and staff and attending workshops, prospective students and their families were encouraged to participate in campus tours, with specialized tours of the Student Village and unique learning spaces. Guests were treated to fall-themed refreshments pre and post-tour and were invited to have lunch in the Student Center Cafe or grab a meal to-go. No Open House is complete without a selection of SUNY Broome thank-you giveaways, including special gifts of crayons, notebooks, and activity sheets for our littlest attendees.
Special thanks to SUNY Broome’s Open House Committee for their months of preparation!
