The Hornets were held to two hits in the loss, one by Jacob McTigue and one by Zechariah Clouston. McTigue scored the only Hornets’ run and Clouston drove him in on an RBI single in the top of the 4th which made it a 4-1 game at the time.

Jason Kithcart Jr. took just his third loss of the season on the mound. He allowed 10 runs over 5.1 innings, walking none and striking out two.

Game 2: SUNY Broome 0, SUNY Niagra 8

SUNY Broome managed three hits in the second contest of the Sub-Regional. McTigue had another hit while Kithcart Jr. and Santino Michitti accounted for the other two.

McTigue suffered only his third loss of the year on the mound for the Hornets, bringing his season-long record to 6-3. He allowed six earned runs over 4.0 innings.

With the two-game sweep at the hands of the Thunderwolves, the Hornets were eliminated from the 2025 NJCAA Region III Championship.

SUNY Broome finishes the season with an 18-25 overall record. The Hornets went 14-15 in regional play during the regular season and 9-9 in conference games. The 18 wins gives the baseball program its highest win total in a season since 2001.
