Students from the Hospitality Club ventured down to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Flower Show. The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event and features stunning displays by the world’s premier floral and landscape designers. This is an annual event that attracts thousands of visitors from around the world. It is a showcase of the finest in horticulture and landscape design, featuring stunning displays of flowers, plants, and gardens. The event offers a unique opportunity for students to learn different aspects of the hospitality industry.
The educational value of the trip extended beyond the event itself. The show provided a platform for students to witness the seamless integration of hospitality and event management. By observing the diverse range of exhibits, students were able to appreciate the creativity and attention to detail required to deliver a memorable and immersive experience for visitors. This exposure allowed students to recognize the interconnectedness of various disciplines within the hospitality industry and the importance of collaboration in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
In addition to the educational aspect, the trip also served as a means of fostering camaraderie and team building among the students.
