The 2024-25 schedule for the women’s soccer team has been formed, pending any necessary future adjustments.
The Hornets will begin their season just under a month from now with a home scrimmage against NCAA Division-III Keystone College on August 22 at 6:00 PM.
Broome then begins the regular season with three of the first four games at home, starting with SUNY Niagara on August 28, followed by Jefferson CC on August 31, and Onondaga CC on September 7. Broome will travel to Mohawk Valley CC on September 4.
On September 14, the team will be home again against Cayuga CC, before taking to the road for the next four contests. After returning home to close out the month of September against Fulton-Montgomery CC, Broome will visit Finger Lakes CC on October 5 and Erie CC on October 13.
The Hornets are currently scheduled to play their final regular-season matchup at home, against MSAC conference foe Tompkins Cortland CC, on October 16.
A few highlights of the schedule will be the seven MSAC conference matchups in which the Hornets will compete- four of them being at home on Alumni Field- as well as a road date with Herkimer College on September 28. The Hornets and the Generals faced off in the NJCAA Region 3 District B Semi-Final during the 2023 season. The Hornets battled exceptionally well on the home pitch of the top-10 nationally-ranked Generals, playing to a 1-1 draw after regulation and two overtime periods. A 2-0 advantage for Herkimer in the penalty shootout ended up giving them the win.
