TEDx BinghamtonUniversity is looking for volunteers to assist in the organization of the March 3 event in the Osterhout Theater on Binghamton University’s campus.

The conference consists of seven speakers who are flying in from all over the world to deliver short, powerful talks that follow the style and theme of TED Talks, spreading “Ideas Worth Sharing.” These talks can range from harnessing creativity to forward thinking ways of assisting refugees. This annual event attracts roughly 1,000 attendees, including students, faculty and community members.

As a volunteer for the event, you will assist in selling tickets to the event, marketing throughout campus, and the logistical planning of the event. You will work with Student Directors around 4 to 6 hours a week to achieve these goals, as well as from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 3 to organize the event itself.

Volunteers will be given a free ticket to the event, a TEDxBinghamtonUniversity shirt, and access to the necessary behind the scenes planning that large scale events like this one require. Questions? Email tedx@binghamton.edu. Applications are due on Feb. 11.

Volunteer! We need your help.
