SUNY Broome will participate in this year’s Daylight Hour, an initiative that seeks to raise awareness about the role daylight can play in lighting our offices and reducing our environmental impact.

Businesses, colleges and universities across the country are participating in the effort, including multiple SUNY campuses and SUNY central.

Daylight Hour will run from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 17. During this time, we encourage faculty and staff to turn off lights in areas where natural light is adequate for work use.

We encourage the campus community to take part, and share their efforts on social media with the hashtag #daylighthour.
