Electric power to the entire SUNY Broome campus (not including the Student Village) will be shut down beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday night, May 18, and will be restored by midnight May 19. This will allow for the electric power “switchover” from the portable NYSEG substation to our temporary main transformer.
To clarify, the outage will last for three hours only, beginning at 9 p.m. The outage may affect campus phone systems. If you need to reach the Office of Public Safety and the campus phone system is down, please call 911.
Please shut down your computers before 9 p.m. Saturday night.
Our SUNY Broome network should be restored by noon on Sunday, May 19.
