The SUNY Broome Music Department presents its Spring 2019 concert schedule.

The Spring Masterworks Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 3, in Binghamton High School’s Helen Foley Theatre. SUNY Broome’s College Choir will be performing Mendelssohn’s Psalm 42, featuring Professor Brenda Dawe as our soprano soloist. Tickets are $10 for the general public; students attend free.

The College Band concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9, in Binghamton High School’s Helen Foley Theatre.

The Applied Music Recital begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in the Angelo Zuccolo Little Theatre, located in the Student Center. Students will perform an array of classical music, accompanied by pianist Pej reitz.

The String Ensemble and Chamber Singers Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, in the Angelo Zuccolo Little Theatre. The concert will feature orchestral and choral works by Bach, Bartok, Vivaldi and Whitacre, and music from the show Game of Thrones.

The Jazz Ensemble Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in the Angelo Zuccolo Little Theatre, featuring trumpeter Tony Kadleck as guest soloist. This concert will honor the late Armand Olevano Jr., a community member who played for decades with the band. Admission is $5 for the general public and free for students.

The Guitar Ensemble Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 20, in the Angelo Zuccolo Little Theatre.

The Contemporary Music Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, in the Angelo Zuccolo Little Theatre.
