The holiday season has started – and with it comes the annual announcement for SUNY Broome’s Giving of the Toys.
For more than 20 years, Giving of the Toys has been one of SUNY Broome’s ways of getting ready for the holidays. More than 60 offices, departments, clubs, athletic teams and campus organizations present toys to Santa each year. The gifts are then forwarded to the local Toys for Tots campaign.
This year will certainly look different than years past. On December 4 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, there will be a drive through style toy drop-off in Lot 18 (in front of Student Village). Santa and a couple of his elves will be in Lot 18 ready to transport the toy donations from your cars to the Toys for Tots van! Decorated cars are welcome!
For those unable to make the drive through style toy drop-off, there will be toy drop-off bins placed in certain buildings around campus from November 30 – December 4. The following buildings will have toy drop-off bins placed at entrances: BC Center, Decker, Library, Natural Science Center, Student Services, Student Village, Titchener, and Wales.
