SUNY Broome President Kevin E. Drumm will present the Frank G. Paul Medal of Excellence to graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated excellence in math and science.

The award includes a check for $50 and a special medallion. The medal also qualifies students to be eligible for one of two Francis and Lillian Paul Scholarships, which can be as much as $3,000 if the students remains in the Engineering Science Program, maintains a GPA of 2.85 and goes on to transfer to a four-year school for engineering.

The medals will be presented at a reception at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, on campus at the Hoyt Conference Center in Decker Health Sciences Building Room 201. The event will feature guest speaker Kenneth Mansfield, the interim Associate Vice President and Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and Rebecca Komorowski, daughter of Francis and Lillian Paul. The program is sponsored by the Broome Community College Foundation.
