SPEAK OUT: Great American Heroes

For Black History Month

SPEAK OUT: Great American Heroes features the words of Rosa Parks, Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, Jackie Robinson, Harriet Tubman, Muhammad Ali, Maya Angelou, Spike Lee, Martin Luther King, Toni Morrison and Kobe Bryant.

The program features a reading of “Thank You Rosa” an original, accurate play-let about this iconic woman’s now famous incident on the bus. You will also hear the words of these 10 great American exemplars of courage.

“Students from across the disciplines made time in their schedules to make this program happen and honor these heroes. We are happy to be able to offer this reading to the campus community. ” said Theater Director, Katherine Bacon.
