Jazz vibraphonist Jimmy Johns

Jazz vibraphonist Jimmy Johns will take the stage as guest artist with the SUNY Broome Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Mike Dubaniewicz, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17, on campus in the Angelo Zuccolo Little Theatre. General admission is $5 and the concert is free to faculty and students.

Jimmy Johns has been a mainstay of the Central New York music scene for more than 40 years. He has enjoyed a long association with Syracuse Stage and has performed with the Mario Desantis Orchestra for more than 30 years. Jimmy has performed with jazz greats such as Hank Jones, Cedar Walton, Slam Stewart, Joshua Breakstone, Sal Nistico, Nick Brignola, J.R. Monterose, John Pizzarelli and The New York Voices.
