Sunshine 2.0 performance for deaf and hearing people on April 12

Come to SUNY Broome’s Angelo Zuccolo Little Theatre at 4 p.m. April 12 for Sunshine 2.0, a professional traveling theater troupe from Rochester.

Sunshine 2.0 performances involve the use of movement, juggling, magic and other entertaining physical elements. The shows not only entertain, they help educate audiences about the deaf experience — information that is shared through a range of skits and short plays involving sign-mime, dance, gestures, ASL poetry, songs and storytelling. All performances are presented in sign language and spoken English to provide full audience access.

Admission is free. The event is sponsored by SUNY Broome’s American Sign Language Club, the SUNY Broome Student Activities Office and the Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf.
