About 15-20 SUNY Broome students will compete in an exciting virtual speaking contest on May 8, 2020 at 3:00pm. The contest is being sponsored by SUNY Broome’s Toastmasters Club, Speakers of the House.
This collaborative event will include judges from the community and from the BU Toastmasters Club, Leaders and Learners. The two clubs have been meeting together at 12pm and 3pm on Fridays since NY went on Pause.
Students will give 1-2 minute impromptu speeches on topics presented at the contest. Winners will be announced at 3:00pm on May 15, 2020 when all contestants will share in a simultaneous Zoom pizza party, funded by the generosity of Student Activities.
