The theme for the 2020 issue of Breaking Ground, SUNY Broome’s literary magazine, is “epiphany.”
Epiphany noun 1) a usually sudden manifestation of the essential nature or meaning of something 2) an intuitive grasp of reality through something usually simple and striking 3) an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosure.
Send us your best original poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, memoirs, artwork, photography, or graphic stories for our annual theme issue. As with past issues the only criteria are vividness, vitality, depth of thought and expression and, above all, excellence. Open to all SUNY Broome students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The theme of the 2020 issue emphasizes the idea of an epiphany, whatever that might involve, and in all its marvelous permutations.
