Welcome back! We hope that you are having a wonderful start to the new semester.
The SUNY Broome scholarship application is now open and we need your help in getting the word out to our students. Thanks to the generosity of many donors, we are able to offer a wide variety of scholarships to our students!
As the semester begins and your students are settling in, we ask you to encourage them to complete the application. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 6, 2020. Please direct them to the online application which can be found at: https://sunybroome.awardspring.com/. We offer a “help desk” in the Foundation office (Wales 201) for students who need assistance with the application process.
New this year: We revised our recommendation procedure in an effort to make the process easier for you as faculty and staff. The students will still send you an email requesting a recommendation, but you will not be required to write a letter and upload it to the system. You will be prompted to rate the student on different criteria and provide supporting comments. Please let us know if you have any trouble with the new system.
And as always, we would be happy to visit classes to provide information for your students – please just let us know!
