Join Dr. Ada Perez and Dr. Sophia Givre from BU as they lead a webinar on microaggressions in the classroom.

This webinar will provide a space for faculty and staff across campus to unpack the meaning of racial microaggressions, also known as everyday racism. Participants will also understand the  adverse impact of microaggressions on the mental health of underrepresented minority students.

The goals of this training are to:

  1. Gain an awareness on the types of microaggressions.
  2. Learn how to recover if you commit, witness, or experience a microaggression.
  3. Understand the importance of enacting microaffirmations towards students.

Strategies learned from this 90 minute session will help participants learn how to do their part to dismantle racism.

Please email Kim Perkoski (perkoskikr@sunybroome.edu) to add your name to the attendee list. You will receive the zoom link before the webinar.
