The permanent power transition for the new Calice Advanced Manufacturing Center will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018, and should be completed by 7 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018. During this 12-hour time frame, the following campus interruptions will take place:
  • There will be no electrical power or telephone service in the Business Building and the building will be closed to all personnel except for construction personnel.
  • Between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. April 4, both the Wales Building and the Public Safety Building will experience an approximately half-hour time frame without power.
  • During the early morning hours on April 5, both the Wales Building and the Public Safety Building will experience an approximately half-hour time frame without power.
  • During this 12-hour period, CAMPUS WIDE (except for the Student Village), there WILL NOT be any computer or Internet services available, including voicemail, computer log-on (including all computer labs), Banner access, WiFi, Z: drives, O: drives, network printers and VoIP telephones. Off-campus users can access Open SUNY/Blackboard online distance education courses at broome.open.suny.edu, the Banner self service system at https;//banner.sunybroome.edu, and Google email at www.gmail.com.
  • In the case of an emergency and you cannot get a telephone dial tone, please contact 911 from your cell phone.
  • All employees are asked to turn off their computers by 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018.  Those employees who will be on vacation during the break are asked to shut down their computers when they leave on Friday, March 30, 2018 (or before).
