SUNY Broome is home to 30 academic programs that are considered non-traditional by gender. Non-traditional by gender careers refer to jobs that are held predominantly by one gender, either mostly males or mostly females. A non-traditional occupation comprises 25% or less of employees making up one gender.

There are many benefits to working in a non-traditional occupation. Be a part of the conversation as we welcome Leigh Martindale from SUNY Broome’s Business and Professional Studies Division and non-traditional by gender staff in Criminal Justice, Casino Management, Paralegal, Web Development, and Accounting to learn about their experiences in a non-traditional by gender career!

Ask questions about their journey and learn the benefits, challenges, and opportunities that await you, while learning how the Perkins CTE SUNY Broome staff can assist you on your career path!
