On-campus construction activities for the week of June 4, 2018

Work has begun at the former Carnegie Library site in Binghamton.

Calice Advanced Manufacturing Center

• Shipments of both casework and fire-rated glass are arriving on site.
• Our HVAC contractor will be commencing start-ups of the HVAC equipment.
• Our electrical contractor will be starting the commissioning of lighting and fixtures.
• Work has begun/is continuing in the data closets.
• Connector curtain wall windows (for the east and west curtain walls) will be delivered on Thursday. Installation should take approximately two days.
• Installation of the exterior metal panels continues.
• Final grading (sub base) for paver installation is nearing completion.
• The south entrance canopy has been completed (with the signed steel beam from the “topping off” event very visible).
• Sidewalk construction and final grading/seeding of the Quad between Calice and the Natural Science Center has been completed.
• VCT (floor tile) installation continues.

Culinary Arts Center (Carnegie)

Work has begun at the former Carnegie Library site in Binghamton.

• The construction fence is in place.
• The remaining asbestos abatement work is nearly complete. (All windows have been removed.)
• Interior demolition (both general construction and electrical) has begun.
• Temporary power panels have been set (awaiting NYSEG).
• Interior finish wood has been salvaged.
