Work has begun at the former Carnegie Library site in Binghamton.
Calice Advanced Manufacturing Center
- VCT (floor tile) installation continues in the classrooms/corridors
- Exterior concrete sidewalk/sub base work (pavers) continues
- Light pole bases are scheduled for delivery this week
- All exterior door frames should be set this week
- All windows have been installed in the Connector curtain walls
- Whiteboards are being installed in classrooms/labs
- The first floor ceiling grid is nearing completion
- Work on the terrazzo floor in the Connector should begin next week
Carnegie Culinary Arts Center
- The project’s construction field office has been established at 95 Court Street in downtown Binghamton
- All remaining asbestos abatement work has been completed (windows, roof, caulking, doors)
- Temporary water and power (electric) to the site has been established
- Interior demolition work continues
- Meetings have been held to discuss underpinning construction (including some preliminary excavation)
