Work has begun at the former Carnegie Library site in Binghamton.

Calice Advanced Manufacturing Center

  • VCT (floor tile) installation continues in the classrooms/corridors
  • Exterior concrete sidewalk/sub base work (pavers) continues
  • Light pole bases are scheduled for delivery this week
  • All exterior door frames should be set this week
  • All windows have been installed in the Connector curtain walls
  • Whiteboards are being installed in classrooms/labs
  • The first floor ceiling grid is nearing completion
  • Work on the terrazzo floor in the Connector should begin next week

Carnegie Culinary Arts Center

  • The project’s construction field office has been established at 95 Court Street in downtown Binghamton
  • All remaining asbestos abatement work has been completed (windows, roof, caulking, doors)
  • Temporary water and power (electric) to the site has been established
  • Interior demolition work continues
  • Meetings have been held to discuss underpinning construction (including some preliminary excavation)
