R.U. Sirious to speakJoin us from 12 to 1:15 p.m. Thursday, March 29, for a video conference with world-renowned writer, editor, talk-show host, musician and cyber celebrity R.U. Sirius (a.k.a. Ken Goffman) to discuss unsettling projections about the next two decades of fake news, artificial intelligence-assisted misinformation campaigns, and propaganda that some experts are terming the “Infocalypse.”

The session, which will take place in Titchener Room 102, will be moderated by Communications Department Instructor Nick Bongiorno.

R.U. Sirius is best known as co-founder and original editor-in-chief of Mondo 2000 magazine from 1989 to 1993. Before that, he founded and edited the magazines High Frontiers and Reality Hackers. He was a regular columnist for Wired News and The San Francisco Examiner and has also written for Rolling Stone, Time and Esquire.
