Hello SUNY Broome,
We hope that everyone’s first week of the semester has gone well. We wanted to remind everyone that several Learning Assistance Department services will be open starting on Tuesday, September 4, the day we return from the Labor Day weekend.
- The Tutoring Program includes drop-in and by appointment tutoring at several locations around campus, including the 2nd floor of the Library (for STEM and Humanities content), Room 006 of the Business Building (for Business content), and Room 007 of the Applied Tech Building (for Computer-related content). Students can apply for one-on-one tutoring from the tutoring program web page http://www2.sunybroome.edu/lad/tutoring/.
- The Writing Center (L-012) is ready to work with students interested in improving their writing and improving as writers.
- The Math Lab (L-010) is ready to work with students interested in developing their understanding of math (or “maths,” if you prefer).
- The Testing Center (L-017 appointment-making and check-in; L-015 testing location) will be open to serve as an alternative test-taking location for students who can’t take exams with the rest of their classes for some reason.
